Settle in for a cozy, creative Sunday afternoon as artist Julie Woodard guides you through making your own stitched holiday hearth — a tiny, charming fireplace you can hang on your tree, pin to your coat, or tuck onto a winter hat for an extra spark of seasonal joy. Julie will walk you through simple design and sewing techniques, showing you how to add sweet appliqué details and embroidered touches that make each piece feel personal and full of heart. Julie’s textile practice is rooted in memory and meaning, often using repurposed fabrics from loved ones or found treasures. If you have small scraps or sentimental fabrics you’d love to bring to life (non-stretch works best!), feel free to bring them along. We’ll share stories, sip something warm, and create together.
