At our core, humans are social beings.

We are meant to move, create, and connect-it's how we've always thrived. Social Beings is built on that truth. We are a creative wellness studio in Philadelphia where movement, art and community come together.

We're not a gym or an art studio. We're a third space-something between home and work-where people of all ages and backgrounds can feel at ease, explore and belong. Our mission is to make wellness and creativity feel natural, joyful and accessible.

What we do

Movement Classes: Yoga, sculpt, and strength classes that focus on longevity, confidence, and feeling good in your body.

Creative Workshops: Painting, drawing, photography, and hands-on crafts that invite play, creativity, and self-expression.

Photo Studio + Shoots: A creative space for portraits, brand shoots, and special moments. Co-owner Sebastian Hernandez brings his photography background to Social Beings, offering a welcoming space for capturing meaningful images.

Private Events + Gatherings: From company wellness events and team experiences to birthdays, celebrations, and private gatherings, Social Beings creates unique experiences that bring people together through movement, creativity, and connection.

Community Gatherings: Pop-ups, park clean-ups, and social events that connect neighbors, artists, and movers in meaningful ways.

The Studio

Located on the corner of 18th and Wharton, in the heart of Point Breeze

The studio is a light-filled, open space built for movement, creativity and connection. With plywood floors, high ceilings and rotating artwork on the walls, it's a place that feels both calming and full of life.

Founded by Jennifer and Sebastian Hernandez, a painter and photographer who also happen to love lifting, soccer and being active-it's a space where art and movement live side by side.

We offer weekly mat classes, creative pop-ups, and wellness workshops in a beautiful, inspiring space. It's your new third place-part studio, part hangout, fully you.
